Christmasy Things
Dec 2021
It’s Christmas!!!! The season to do elaborate shoots.
First up a recreation of a snow globe in life size. This took quite a lot of planning and discussions about what is the best way to construct and represent the snow globe. I was brought in early, luckily to discuss what would work for a photo, so any glass or perspex was out and a perspective, fixed viewpoint approach was chosen. This oddly meant that the snowy backdrop had to be about 4 meter high! The shoot was with Konnie Huq and her kids for Material Focus to encourage the recycling of old electrical’s.
There was also a shoot for Paypal Credit, with Bibi Lynch, at a fab location house in Brixton. Made much easier by some great styling by Vicky Lees, who was on wrapping present duty and chicken wing styling (not shown here). Wrapping prop presents seems to be a Christmas regular - see the Suzuki shoot here.
The cookie cutter* shoot was with star baker Anja Dunk for Observer Food Monthly. (*not in the American meaning of the word eg. uniform, samey or ubiquitous)
