The Preen fashion designers Walberswick home

Ok, it’s not a picture of a house, but a very stylish bed in the large garden of fashion designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi’s Walberswick house. They founded the fashion label Preen which produces couture dresses and also some fabulous floral bedspreads.

This is their country house, in a small Sulfolk village, and while they are normally based in west London, they ended up spending much of the first year of the pandemic here. And who wouldn’t if they had the choice.

The house is perfectly curated with well placed items and plenty of Preen materials on show. A photographers dream! Though I did ask them if there is any item that one of them loves and the other can’t stand? I mentioned to them the scene in “When Harry met Sally” where Carrie Fishers and her partner move in together and he insists on keeping his wagon wheel table, and is lobbying Harry for support for the hideous item. They said there were no ‘wagon wheel tables’ in the house, but Justin did show me his Star Wars pillow, that they designed for Disney.

I’m sure Princess Leah would have approved.
