Whiskey and Chocolate with Lisa Faulkner

This was an Advertorial for Singleton Whiskey and was all about pairing Whiskey with Chocolate - who knew!
The piece was cunningly released around a particularly rainy Easter in the UK, when staying in with a nice Whiskey and pairing it with Chocolate, that just might be in the house, suddenly didn’t seem quite so unusual.
I had worked with Lisa Faulkner before and she was again supper relaxed and easy going. This was shot in a food studio and a short video was also being made at the same time, so pre shoot covid test were mandatory and full PPE was worn, except by the talent.
Also as per the ‘new usual’ Lisa and the Singleton brand ambassador, who was guiding her through the tastings, had to be 1.5m apart. Not so bad for me, as I didn’t really have to get too many photos of the two of them together, but a bit dull for the film crew that had a distant two shot to intercut.
My brief was two pronged - Portraits and Still lives. Set up my own lighting around the film crew, oh and get it all done in 30 mins as we only had a half day in the studio.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the Singleton whiskey, often the case on food and drink shoots, but I’ll definitely give the pairing a go with whatever whiskey I have in the house.
