Tale of Two Chefs - Adam Byatt and Ruth Hansom

This was for an article in Observer food Monthly (OFM) about chefs cooking with their children. Chef Adam Byatt has several restaurant in London including the Michelin stared Trinity in Clapham Common.
We were shooting at his home, in his small, but very stylish kitchen. It was in a tight corner of the house and I had to hide my lights around corners and just out of frame while standing in the hallway - revealing, hiding and minimising the bits I though would work best. Adam and his daughter Rosie, were super willing and chatty and happy to respond to my endless quizzing.
Skye, who didn’t realise she was a dog, was also very keen to get involved, and help out with the eating, posing and scene stealing on the shoot.
I didn’t fight it.
More greens and blues in Shorditch
Young Rising star chef, Ruth Hansom, at The Princess of Shorditch pub. This one was also for OFM.
Having previously worked as a chef at the Ritz, she decided to experiment with a restaurant in a pub. Taking the gastro pub into fine dinning with an 8 course tasting menu.
I went for symmetry and subtle tones to go with the feel of the upstairs dinning room.
