Extinction Rebellion
October 2019
Extinction rebellion had been protesting for several months now and the shutdown of parts of London with peaceful protestor was becoming the norm. The protestors really scanned the full age range, from the schoolchildren in the weekly Climate March, to the many retired people at the various camps. And despite some Black Cab drivers being a bit angry, few people really disagreed that the planet needed saving.
I visited the Bank site in October and was struck at how calm it was. People were keen to talk and educate or pass on information learned, in the hope, that more people would push the governments of the world, to act on the climate crisis that the world is facing.
